Vegetarian Protein – After Dinner Thoughts

Tonight I was at dinner with some friends and we got chatting, as it turned out one of the ‘newbie’ friends in my group was a vegetarian – this intrigued me greatly.  We ended up chatting all night long about vegetarian foods and animal cruelty. We finished off the night by talking about vitamins and how vegetarians get protein in their diet since they don’t eat red meat.  I was quickly educated on how little I actually knew about foods and what were in them. I asked how she got enough protein as she didn’t eat red meat?  Basically she told me that there were many foods out there that had a far higher protein count than red meat and there was really no need to eat meat, full stop.  I was shocked!  So I have decided to start this blog and write about as many things to do with vegetarian protein as I can find and share some of my experiences with you all.
