Vegetarian Protein?

Im trying to go vegetarian but everyone keeps saying that i need to eat meat because i need the protein and then i hear say that thats why theres tofu but it tastes nasty what can i eat to stay healthy? plzz helppp
Take vitamin supplements. B12 and Iron. Beans. Lentals, chick peas, kidney beans… mostly all beans actually. Nuts. Raw almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts. (all unsalted) Veges. There is protein in veges too. Tofu isn’t nasty if you prepare it right. From wikiHow: “marinate with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil and five spice powder; for Indian foods: ginger, garlic, curry, cumin, fenugreek, etc.; Italian: oregano, garlic, olive oil, basil… you get the idea.” (1) I love tofu. And you can too ;-) Once you go vegetarian you begin cooking a lot more then you did before. There are so many recipes out there, and I just love experimenting with beans and noodles to make different dishes.
